Introducing Baby Kendall...

Baby Kendall is going to be coming to our house for a couple hours, two times a week.  We have some friends who needed care for their sweet baby girl and we are so glad that we can help them out.  As you know, I really struggled to take Finnean to daycare , so it just feels right to help them.  It will be busy but it will be fun!!  Finnean was just smitten with little Kendall and warmed right up to her.  We asked him in the beginning of the night if she could come to our house and he wasn't quite sure.  By the end of the night when we asked him, he said YES! We are so excited for this new adventure!

We love beautiful weather!!

"Painting" the driveway!
Paint = Water and endless fun!  Thanks Kevin and Patty for the idea-Finnean loved it!

Our newest favorite thing to do...bird watch!

Seriously.  His smile just warms my heart!

Our newest friend in our yard...a gold finch!! Talk about exciting!  Finnean will let you know that the gold finch is our state bird!!  He also loves the red-winged black birds that live in the backyard!

Such a silly boy!

Hmmm...

I love this because Jerry's face is so telling of how he must really feel...but goodness they are so cute together!

Mother's Day!

Mother's Day was great at our house!  Finnean and Michael let me sleep in to start the morning before we headed to church.  After church we headed to lunch and then home for HUGE naps!!  After nap we headed to a park for a pizza picnic and time outside to enjoy the beautiful day together.  It was so sweet because out of nowhere Finnean says "Happy Mother's Day Mom!"  He just warms my heart.  Michael gave me the best gift a mom could ask for.  Starting May 9th, I moved to working just one day a week.  I am so excited that I get to spend so much time with Finnean and will be able to stay home full-time when Cozmo comes! I feel so grateful to have such wonderful men in my life!!
My little lunch date!

Check the crayon behind his ear...

I love this little face!!

Nebraska!!

The first weekend in May we packed up and headed to Lincoln for Maddy's doctoral graduation!  She told us she has been in school for 25 years but she does have something to show for it!  It was great to help her celebrate and we had a great weekend!
Finnean's windmill dance!!
Interstate 80 is packed with new windmills-so he LOVED that...then we made our lunch stop at this little town to check out the old windmill...obviously he loved it!  A little side note while we enjoyed the beautiful day and had a picnic...a bird flew by and pooped on ALL THREE OF US!! How in the world can a bird hit all of us in one shot!!  We chalked it up to luck and went on with our day :)

Aunt Ellie and Finnean at Aunt Maddy's PhD graduation!!

Family time in the Husker Hall of Fame!

Burning off some energy after the ceremony!

Get down!!

Family!
We are so proud of you Maddy!!

Hut, hut, HIKE!!!

whew! playing is exhausting!!

After supper at Adam and Maddy's we headed to our hotel to for a little swim.  Finnean was so brave and actually took a few dips in the pool!  He looks so big!!

Yes the water was fun but the step was a very safe place to camp out while everyone else enjoyed splashing around!

Loaded up and ready to go the Omaha zoo!!!

Cozmo enjoying the zoo!!  We have a picture just like this with Finnean in my belly...only if I could locate it!

Whoa!!!

Train ride around the zoo with Uncle Adam and Mommy.

Must have been something really cool!!

I can't believe that he touch the alligator but he thought it was pretty neat!!

After all that walking and exploring we headed downtown to the Old Market for lunch at Zio's Pizza. (SO YUMMY and is place to put on your list to go)  They have the best idea to keep kids entertained, give them pizza dough!!  Finnean LOVED it and made all kinds of stuff!

Checking the giraffes with Aunt Maddy.
(I haven't figured out how to move pictures around...so it is a little out of order!)

Burning off the last of the energy after lunch...

This was taken one minute after we finally got on the road for home...I would say he was tired!!

Little Cozmo Wagler

Cozmo's first gift!!
I helped host a baby shower at our church for the women of Nigeria (to gather layettes to send to them) and the ladies that were on the committee with me surprised me with this AMAZING diaper cake.  Angie said it was her first time ever making one but it is so cute and full of goodies for little Cozmo!  I haven't had the heart to break it apart because it is so cute!!
Thanks ladies!!!

27 weeks and 3 days
We had our check up yesterday and everything is going well.  Heartbeat, tummy measurement, weight gain, blood pressure all good to go!  It felt a little defeating because we thought we were 28 weeks along and technically we are 27 weeks and 3 days and apparently you are not supposed to count the week until you finish it and he moved our next appointment from two weeks to three weeks.  Something different than the last doctor that we visited with....so I literally felt like we went backwards!!! I am finally over it and just happy that our little Cozmo is healthy and moving around like crazy!!  Tonight we could really feel the little tiny body in there...we were thinking it was the curve of the back.  Cozmo's newest thing is that when I get ice from the door on the refrigerator, the noise scares him and he moves all over.  I hate that is scares him but it is kinda cute!  I have also been feeling very defined movements like a foot or knee sliding across my belly.   It is just mind boggling that there is a human in there.  I am not sure that I will ever get over the wonder of it all.  It is hard to believe how much love we have for this little person already!  As you can see in the picture below, the big brother is quite smitten as well!

Finnean is going to make an awesome big brother!  We find him snuggling his toys, getting them a blanket and saying "I change your diaper" to them.  It is just about the sweetest thing ever.  We are so excited for them to meet!

We love the Capitol!

Spring is here!!! Now if the warmer temps could hurry along...it would be awesome!

We went for a walk around the Capitol plaza last night.  Finnean did not want anything to do with his picture being taken but he is still pretty dang cute!

RUN!!

Hi family!!!

We got a new house!!!

Well maybe not...but we did add a new house to our basement.  I brought home a "BIG" box from work this weekend and Finnean wanted to make it into a house.  So we all pitched in and made a new house for Finnean...he LOVES it!
Dad doing some work on the windows and Finnean making sure he approves!

Final touches on the siding!

PEEK!!!!

Welcome!
This picture was taken just before the boys started adding decoration to the outside.  I am sure it will be covered with random pictures before long!

Jerry on the other hand is not quite as excited about the new house!

Adventures with Finnean

Finnean got a tiny kite from Grandma and Poppa Wagler for Easter.  It is the perfect size because he can fly it all by himself!

WOW! That is cool!

After flying the kite and climbing a mountain in our back yard (aka a big hill), Finnean said he wanted to go for a run.  So he ran and I walked very quickly, as running is not something I ever did, let alone 7+ months pregnant!  He has really been into "exercising" lately-it is so fun to watch him do jumping jacks and push ups!!

Another days last week we hit up a park with Stephanie and the boys.  We fed the ducks before going down the slide a hundred times!

The park has a little baseball field and of course Finnean turned his bubble wand into a bat!  The boys LOVED running everywhere!

And boy are they fast!!!

Last week we headed to Valley Junction for the ribbon cutting of the newly renovated City Hall.  It was so fun to see Finnean's Main Street friends.  This is him giving Jim and Marcia some love!

After the ribbon cutting we caught up with Abby and Cory for dinner.  Finnean loves to hang with his friends!
