7 weeks!

My goodness time flies when you have a little baby. Last week I really did try to update the blog---I even typed up something and then wanted to add pictures and it never got posted! So please keep checking---i really am going to try and keep it up to date. So a lot has happened since i last posted. We are getting back into a routine after the holidays and have a solid bedtime routine down and Finnean continues to sleep well!! Thank goodness! We went on our first date out without Finn and it was wonderful! I even stayed out for dinner which Michael didn't think I would do! Thanks Ashlyn and Adam!

Finnean had his first smile on the 9th of this month at me and then at daddy on the 10th. He is so adorable when he smiles---not that he isn't all the time but it just melts our hearts!! We will try and capture it on camera and get it posted! Finnean was baptized on Sunday and it was a beautiful service. He did great and didn't even scream like he does when he gets his hair washed at home! Thank goodness! We had a dinner at my dad's house so Finnean could meet all of his Reyes family members and then a baby shower in Bloomfield this weekend!! After all that fun he got a cold yesterday and so we have been battling that! He is so sad with his stuffed up nose and watery eyes!! He sure can scream when you try to clean out that cute little nose!!! We have been to the doctor and on the mend!

He has had a couple of play dates and been out for coffee since we last posted! He has a very busy social schedule!! :) Now we are in Ankeny for a while which will be nice. I go back to work at the end of February and we are just going to soak up the time together!!

Finn is just growing and growing!! It is hard to believe that over a month ago little Finnean joined our family. He has really started being vocal and by vocal we mean started crying...but if that is that only way you can communicate...then more power to you!! He has started following toys with his eyes and really recognizes our voices. If I am talking to Finn and then Michael comes up and starts talking he looks at him with big blue eyes! It is so neat to watch him learn every day!!!

We had a great Christmas holiday and spent most of the time in Bloomfield! Lots of family and lots of love!!
