Bloomfield Adventures!

We headed to Bloomfield on Tuesday for a little mini-vacay.  Michael was out of town for the 4th straight week...so it was a nice break to do something a little different!  When we got to Bloomfield we went to lunch with Grandma Lisa and she hooked Finnean up with an ice cream cone..."choc-late" of course!
Finnean and Grandma...I would say he is happy.  He is always asking about his family and saying he wants to see them...so it was extra fun for Finnean!
We headed to the DC Mustangs basketball game.  Finnean wasn't quite sure what to think at first (it was very loud) but by the second half and the second bag of popcorn he was happy to be there.  While Grandma went to get more popcorn, he pretended to eat some of his own!
This is Finnean telling them team to "GO!!" They needed all the help they could get...it wasn't pretty!
On Wednesday morning we met Grandpa Steve for breakfast.  Finnean loves his Grandpa Steve and chatted him up.  Finnean, of course had Mickey Mouse pancakes.  He even ordered for himself!
He was pretending to be a baby here...there is a lot of talk about babies from Finnean...hmmm I wonder why:)
Carter was at school for most of the time we were in Bloomfield but they did get to play together a little!  Of course they were crazy and wild...but had fun!

Cozmo's Picture Debut

We were not supposed to see little Cozmo until March 9th but I didn't feel him moving around like his little self yesterday and into this morning, so we called the doctor and they had us come in.  We thought they would just do a non-stress test or something but instead they did an ultrasound!  O my goodness...Cozmo has melted our hearts already.  It was amazing to see the little arms and legs kicking and moving all about.  It is hard to believe that I couldn't feel him for a whole day with all that movement.  Our ultrasound tech was so nice and it was a great relief to know that Cozmo is growing just fine and everything looks normal!
Isn't he cute here...sucking his little thumb!!
I love profile shots---so this one is so sweet too!  We held strong and didn't find out whether Cozmo is a boy or a girl.  It is amazing because he looks so big here but only weighs about 7 ounces right now.  It is just so crazy to see him or her wiggling all over!

Finnean...a computer engineer?

The other night Michael said that Finnean made his own computer out of Legos.  He even used white ones...to look just like ours.  Michael said he hopped up on the couch and "worked" on his computer just like Daddy was!
 Working hard!
After Finnean went to bed, Jerry decided to take a rest on Finnean's couch.

We love warm weather!!

Last Thursday it almost got to 70 degrees!  We opened the windows and enjoyed the fresh air!  Finnean loved the wind blowing in his hair while he looked and listened to the BIG trucks going by our house!
As I worked on laundry, Finnean told me that "Baby Jace" was going nigh-night.  He snuggled him and even gave him his striped blanket and bunny to snuggle with.  He carried "Baby Jace" around with him most of the day and of course he had to take a nap with Finnean.  In case you didn't know Baby Jace is Finnean's friend Grady's little brother. It was so cute to see him take care of the "baby!"
He is going to be such a good big brother!!
Snack time!!  He loved lounging around with the warm wind blowing on him!
On Friday, it was still nice out and Finnean and I headed out to play while we waited for Daddy to get home from work.  He looks so old playing kick ball!
 So old.
 Serious bear!
Favorite picture from our little photo shoot!
Doesn't he look uncomfortable!?  Anything to get a good angle for drawing with chalk.
 So focused.
I love the little tongue.  I seriously think that it helps him work!
The eyes.  They really are not blue but not green either.  Just this amazing color that changes with what he wears, the sky, where he is at, etc.  With the color and the long thick lashes...it is hard to say no to having "chocolate" for snack!! :) That is his new favorite thing!

What a goofy guy!!

 I love those cheeks!!
Whoopsies!  He was going too fast...and I think he just likes to fall down!
Love that Jerry Dog!
He has such an addicting smile!
:)

We love Ames!

Last Wednesday Finnean and I picked Daddy up from a training in Ames and went on CyRide around the ISU campus!  Finnean loved being on the bus and looking at all the cool stuff on the route!
Enjoying the ride...
Happy boys...Finnean was checking out a castle here.
After the ride, Finnean was so excited!! We can't wait to go back when it is just a little bit warmer!
Happy Campers!
We hit our favorite Ames dinner spot, Battles BBQ.  I think Finnean loves it too!
Silly boy...

Science Center with Friends on Valentine's Day!

The boys loved looking at the snakes!  Hudson is Finnean's friend that we go to the library with.  Look at all that blond hair!
My favorite picture of the day...
Finnean listening to a story at the Science Center!
Snack time with friends!

Grady and Finnean are getting so big...Finnean had so much fun showing his friends around the Science Center!

Pictures

I made cupcakes for the Valentine's day...Finnean really loved them :)
Our big boy loves his big boy bed.  He looks pretty relaxed here!
 Sweet cheeks.
Whoa!!!  Something looks like it is cool...not sure what it was.
 Being silly with his snack!
A Christmas Elf in Feburary?  Only if he is that cute!
