Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Today is Finnean's FIRST Thanksgiving!! We have so much to be thankful for and have had a great day full of food, family and friends! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!! More pictures to come!

Novemeber Fun!!!

It has been a busy November. We have been keeping everyone healthy (knock on wood) and just enjoying the nice weather!

We love that Kaia and her mom and dad live so close-we got together for a playdate last weekend! Finnean was exposed to a lot of pink and purses! That didn't stop him from rocking out on the Barbie guitar!!

We made a trip to Bloomfield on November 11th to get Finnean the H1N1 shot! It was so beautiful out-we walked around the square and Michael got this great picture with the courthouse in the back ground!

Michael, Finnean and I all went up to tailgate and see all of our friends at one of the later ISU games. The weather was amazing and a great day to be out and about!!! It was hard to believe it was late in the fall!

YEAH!!!

Just wanted to let you know that Finnean is feeling much better and has been without Tylenol or Motrin all day and NO FEVER!!!! We had a great weekend!! Hopefully Finnean remembers what daycare is like-since he hasn't been there for a week!!

Finnean the Fever Boy

Finnean just can't shake this fever. Michael took him to the doctor yesterday and he has double ear infection...but no H1N1 so that is good to hear-he got exposed this last weekend and it is at his daycare. He got antibiotics for the first time and we hoped he was on the mend. His fever never really got too much lower than 101 so we called the doctor this morning and they said that 101-102 is normal with ear infection but if it gets 103-104 he needs to be seen.

This afternoon it was like 99 so we thought he was getting better. He went down for his nap and slept like a rock, poor little guy, being sick is wearing him out!! When he woke up we noticed him getting goose bumps and then he got really warm we checked his temp and it was 104!!!! So Tylenol in and off to the urgent care. Luckily there weren't too many people there and even better not too many hacking people. He fever started going down, they told us stuff we already knew but they did check to make sure it was viral and it is. So we (mom and dad) will sleep better knowing that is most likely isn't H1N1, he had the test...not a fun experience and that it is not a bacterial infection that could have caused the spike in fever. We are hoping that the antibiotics kick in and start making this little guy feel better. On a positive note when we got home from the doctor he was all smiles and went down to sleep very easy!!!

We will keep you posted! We hope that all of you are feeling well and sickness doesn't have you down...it is exhausting!!

11 months!!

Wow...how time flies. Last year at this time I could barely sleep due to my gigantic belly(see picture above), we were getting everything we thought we could possibly need to bring home a tiny little baby and were so excited! I couldn't resist posting pictures of my belly...I loved it so much and enjoyed being pregnant...it is amazing how your body can change!!

And how that little miracle has changed our lives...this is the newest on what he is doing....

Finnean continues to crack us up. He is just funny. He has silly little faces, loves to play peek a boo and just BOO! He is really starting to walk behind his walker and standing on his own is his new favorite thing to do. He can even stand, squat down, pick something up and go back to standing. He is working on balance and cruises everywhere! He has so much fun playing with toys and drumming on everything. He loves dogs and cats. Daycare says he will read the dog/cat book for a really long time. He is loving daycare and has tons of fun there. He still isn't the best sleeper but we are working on it-he even ate on Tuesday last week...which was a first!!! He talks and squeals. He loves to follow you to the bathroom-you shut the door and he tries to look under the door and pounds on it and talks to you through it. On Sunday I went to the bathroom and I hear "Momma, Momma!" from the other side while little Finnean was pounding on the door. O-he just melts my heart. He continues to get so many teeth-I think we are working on #9. This past month has been filled with stuffy noses and he has had a yucky cough-but we are hoping to be on the mend. He is eating way more table food and is not always thrilled to drink his bottle. He drank from a sippy cup all by himself today---it is so cute to see him tip it up like a big boy! These are just a few things from the last month!

As for the next month...we are looking forward Finnean's one year pictures this month, planning his birthday bash and I am going to try and get all of his pictures in albums!! We have tons, I mean tons of pictures and it is so hard to pick which ones to print. We think the little man might start walking before the big one...he just looks ready!! I am not sure we are ready!!

Halloween Party!!!

Grady is super cute and just figured out he could walk all by himself at our Halloween party! He turns ONE on 11.7.09! I love this picture because Finnean is just watching him!

It looks like they are making a plan to break down the gate. They couldn't be more different in size and just about one month apart but are so cute together!

We tried SO hard to plan the perfect time to get together. Then Finnean took a really long morning nap, Grady didn't take a nap and Neva fell asleep a few minutes before the party was to start! We had about 20 minutes of actual party (picture taking) time. It is so fun to see the little personalities. Finnean is kind of quiet and soaks it all up. Grady is loud and funny as can be. Neva just doesn't know what to this of these two boys! It was a blast to get together and I am so thankful for great co-workers!

Finnean got to pet a real, live, furry cat!!! He was so excited and squealed with delight. After the cat ran away he went to look for her!

This has to be one of my favorite pictures of the entire Halloween holiday. Grady let us borrow his John Deere for some perfect pictures! Looks like he is quite the cowboy!

1st Trick or Treat!

So worn out after all the trick or treating...this was our last stop.

Finnean checking out Bea the dog from a distance. He LOVES her as long as she is not too close! He squeals and talks to her but as soon as you try to get him to pet her he cries. What a stinker!

Finnean made three select stops on his first Beggars Night. He didn't do much begging but did show of his tricks of pulling up, talking and playing with his friends. Everyone had special treats just for Finnean. Thanks for making our 1st Halloween extra special!

Pumpkin Fun with Friends!

Kaia came over to paint pumpkins and play on the 24th of October.

They started out very clean!!!

I love the determination on his face. I think he had turned the brushes into drums at this point.

Ack! Don't eat it!!

He did a pretty good job keeping it out of his mouth. Be sure to notice the blue paint in his hair. It was like he was thinking about the next color to use and put the paint brush on his head!

Good Job Finnean! He did such a great job dipping his brush in the paint but enjoyed painting the high chair more than the pumpkin!

All clean!! We just put the kids in the wash to get cleaned up...just kidding!

But they did love playing in the laundry basket! Kaia and Finnean had so much fun playing together!
