Valley Junction Farmer's Market!

A couple of weeks ago we headed down to Valley Junction for the Farmer's Market. We ended up meeting Chris Proctor and the Darrington's for a fun evening.  It was a crisp night but perfect to be outside listening to music and having good conversation!
Finnean loved eating his sandwich on the "tractor."

Silly boys!

Sweet little crooked smile :)

Hutchinson, you make my heart smile!

Hutchinson has not had his "offical" nine month photo shoot.  Hopefully I get that taken care of before he turns ten months :) Here are a few pictures in a cute outfit.  Love his little coral/pink pants!

Another new baby!

It seems like we have a lot of friends who are having babes right now.  Little Kendall just got a baby brother this past month.  Hutchinson loved playing with Kendall and all of her toys!  I am going watch Kendall and baby Caleb a couple days a week for a two hours each day starting at the end of June.  I think Hutch and Kendall will get along great!  Sorry for the lack of pictures of the cute new babe!  He is so sweet!  Welcome to the world, little Caleb!
Hutchinson says "Why are all your toys pink??"

Holy cow!! He looks so old here!  Little mover and shaker is crawling everywhere and getting pretty fast too!

But I don't wanna go to sleep, Mommy!

Sometimes Hutchinson doesn't want to go to sleep, so he spends a little time putting himself to sleep.  That usually involves a little crying, talking, sitting up/trying to pull all the way up and crawling around his crib.  He is really good at look out of his crib like a jail bird.  It is so cute.  I went to check on him the other day to see if he actually went to sleep (he can be really quiet sometimes!) and I found him like this.  Obvoiusly he was trying so hard to look out but fell over in his efforts.  He is such a little cutie!

Start them young!

If you could imagine, Finnean wants to do just about anything that his Daddy does, including playing guitar!  Finnean got his own guitar for Christmas and now has a strap.  It makes him look so old and he can really rock out.  In this picture they were showing Hutchinson how to make a rock and roll face!

It won't be long and I will have three guitar players.
I have mentioned in the past that I only get to be the "shaker" in the band but now Finnean told us today that Hutchinson is the shaker and I get to play guitar...YES!! :)  Too bad I really can't play, I would blow him away.

Breakfast!

The morning after the Awards we met Richard and Lisa at the Machine Shed for some yummy breakfast.  It is so tasty but don't go there if you are feeling like doing something later morning...so much food, just makes you want to take a nap!  They offer free tractor rides, a great way to top off an awesome breakfast! The boys loved it!
This is a happy Finnean after he consumed more food than he has in the last two weeks total! Notice his lip?  The Blanchards were so kind and kept our boys while we were at the Awards the night before and there was a little flying truck accident.  He has recoved just fine and had TONS of fun hanging with his friends.  He even went to sleep at their house!
You rock, Finnean!  Hutchy gave her a little more beef going down to bed but they were both sleeping when we got there :)

The boys love a visit from Grandma and Poppa!

Whoo hooo! Congrats Michael!

On May 4th Michael's new job was announced in front of 400 people (who gave him a standing ovation!!) at Main Streets annual awards ceremony.  I am so proud of him and all of the hard work he has put in to get this promotion.  He is now the State Coordinator for Main Street Iowa.  It was such an exciting and exhausting couple of months.  After the interview process, we had to get the job a secret so it could have the big reveal at the Awards.  He is currently transitioning to his new role and will be settling in over the next few months.  He even made the front page of the Bloomfield Democrat (they did a little story on him)! I have to say it again because I am one proud wife...we are so proud of you, Michael Wagler!!
Finnean giving Daddy a pep talk before his first day of his new job.
(Michael got a ride to work this day, that is why they are waiting on the porch!)

Right before the big announcement at the Main Street Awards...
...and yes I did make him wear a coral tie!

Richard and Lisa were able to come up for the Awards and see Michael's new job get announced! They are so excited for him and we were so thankful that they came!

This is the ballroom at the new Vets Auditorium.  I am pretty sure it as a different name but I can't remember it...
bottom line...it is amazing!  The ceiling tiles change colors!!!

Jane retired in February and her position is the one Michael accepted.  She has been an awesome supporter of our family from Michael's start at Main Street and a mentor to Michael. She is living the retired life...love to you, Jane!!

Proud parents with the new State Coordinator!

I love how Hutchinson is a master of using his feet to really help him do whatever he needs to get done.

VEISHEA

In April, we headed up to Ames for the VEISHEA parade.  It was so much fun but really chilly and kind of rainy!  Finnean loved the parade and all that a parade has to offer except when they shot the canon that they shoot during the football games right by us and that sent us packing.  Poor guy, scared the heck out of him.  So we headed to get some lunch :)
The boys dressed in their stocking hats to head to the VEISHEA parade!

Hutchinson wasn't quite sure what to think but Finnean loved it.  We were so close to the parade that they could hand him candy.  He was so sweet and polite saying "can I have a piece please?!"

After the parade we headed to Battles, one of our fav places to go in college.  It was just a tasty as we remembered and Finnean loved it too!

Science Center Trip

A few Friday's ago we went to the Science Center to do a little exploring.  It is fun to see how Finnean changes in what he likes to look at and what he wants to do.  We are excited for little Hutchinson to start exploring too!!
Silly boy!

I wonder where he gets it...?!?!

Happy Hutchinson just relaxing while Finnean explored.

Some serious rocket building!!!

O how we love that Daddy!

Michael did a presentation for work at a Pecha-Kucha night in April.  It was a great opportunity to go and check out something that he does.  I don't usually get to see him in action, so this was fun!  It is set up that you have 20 slides for 20 seconds each.  Finnean even made it into Michael's presentation.  You should see if you have a Pecha-Kucha event in your area...it is worth checking out! They are not all professional based, a little of everything.

Around the house.

This was taken a while ago but it was one of the first times I found him sitting up in his crib...doesn't he look old?!
He is now an old pro at this skill and it makes for some interesting attempt at putting both the boys down for nap/bed at the same time.  Finnean LOVES to make Hutchinson laugh, so we will hear them laughing away...cute but goodness GO TO SLEEP!

Just playing.

Ahhh...the Easter eggs.  Just when I think I get them all picked up, Finnean finds them and they are all over again.

O these cheeks.

Have I mentioned I love his eyes?

So thankful that I get to stay home everyday with these little boys.

Friends!

Do you remember Miss Rileigh?  She was Hutchinson's first play date...check out how TINY they were here.  Hard to believe they are so big and MOVING!

Hutchinson loved playing with Rileigh's blocks and really liked watching her...

...she is a mover and a shaker!  She showed little H how to crawl around and how to pull up.  The next day after playing with her, he did!  It was so fun to watch them "play" together and fun to have a play date for Hutchinson!

After many, many tries Kaitlyn and Kaia finally were able to meet little Hutchinson.  Kaia and Finnean spent most of the day pretending to be little puppies and then took a break to do some art.  We finished off our play date at Subway!  They are easy to please...most of the time :)  Check out Kaitlyn's post about the play date here .
Little H just played while the big kids played :)

Easter Sunday

The Waglers-Easter 2012
After the Easter bunny found us we headed to church to celebrate the true meaning of Easter.  It was a beautiful service and we are thankful that we have a church home.  It was great that the Bloomfield Waglers could join us!

I LOVE this picture.  It was Finnea's idea to hold little Hutchinson and he didn't seem to mind at all.  This is one of the very few pictures I got of Finnean on Easter.  After church was REALLY hard for him, over-tired, we had company and he was just plain grumpy, at least the morning was lots of fun!

Richard, Lisa, Ellie and Carter joined us for Easter dinner.  It is nice to host something at our house.  Everyone pitches in and helps by bringing something, making it not too stressful at all!  Little Hutchinson was napping so he didn't get in on the picture.  We were missing Adam and Maddy, they stayed in Lincoln for Easter...maybe next year!

Okay-so there is an overload of cuteness from Hutchinson but I had to post these pictures.  We had a fun little photoshoot :)

He looks SO OLD!

The day was beautiful, bright and sunny.

O my.  Those eye lashes and those cheeks.  Love this little thing.

He is so serious.

Eggs are so fun!!

Happy boy.

Cutest. feet. ever.
Finnean opening his fun Easter basket from Grandma and Poppa.  Fav part...a two-two dollar bill and Spiderman jammies!! Whooo!

Hutchinson getting some snuggles in from Grandma and opening his loot :)
He got the cutest little overalls :)

Carter...he is getting SO OLD!

Hugs bye-bye!

what?!
I love this picture.  This is real life.  This is even AFTER a nap.  He had a rough afternoon.

Hutchinson on the other hand...was a happy little guy!

After we had some leftovers for supper, we decided it would be best to go for a walk!
Abby and Cory---do you remember getting this hat for Finnean??

YAH! He is happy!!

and crazy as ever.

Love that smile!

These are ants.  Lots and lots of ants!  We are always looking for nature on our walks and we found a huge ant nest? I am not sure if they are called nests or not but wow there were a lot!
Finnean thought they were pretty cool and loved checking them out :)
