Small Town Love

We had a big Friday. Finnean went to daycare, we picked him up, had supper and then headed to the Mustang Homecoming game. He loved the football game but really love the marching band and the Mustang Mascot! He had time to read a book before bed! Isn't he cute in those pjs!?
Saturday morning we headed up town to check out the Fall Festival. This is Finnean trying to pick out a few "baby pumpkins" as he calls them. Our porch is being taken over by them!!

The mums were beautiful!!!

He looks so serious here...he was eating this hot dog about 10:45 am. Apparently he was hungry!

Poppa giving Finnean a lift!

Finnean playing in the grass and I just love the courthouse behind him.

Walnuts!

Silly boy. He was having fun running and running. I think he caught his second wind at this point. We all enough wind that day-it made it chilly out but it was the perfect fall day!

Bonk!

This is probably one of my most favorite pictures ever (okay- of just Finnean and me)

He carried them, threw them, tried to eat them.

The perfect one.

Trying to carry all of them "baby pumpkins" at the same time!

COOKIES!
Having a little snack on our way out to the McGowen Farm for a Spider Egg Hunt (think Easter Egg Hunt) and a Hay Rack Ride!

Eyeing the eggs down.

This ones just makes me smile.

Checking to make sure there aren't any holes in the bucket :)

Little tiny Wrangler bottom. Thanks Lori for the super cute, perfect for hack-rack riding jeans!

Checking out the loot!
Notice the stocking hat...it got COLD in about 5 minutes. Finnean's little lips were shivering!
Family.

We were the first ones to go on a hay rack ride...so we got the whole thing to ourselves! We were worried that Finnean might be a little scared but he seemed to love it! It was absolutely beautiful. The sky was perfect, sun shining and rural Iowa made for great scenery!

Smelling the hay. I am thinking it was a little stinky!

Perfect.

Looking ahead. I love this one.

He didn't let go of his candy the whole time. The bummer is...he didn't even get to eat it because it was too hard!

I love, love, love this one.

Cheese!!!
He loves to show you his teeth!

Looks like pretty good form to me. He was working on his basketball skills after the McGowen Farm.

He is a bit possessive. We are trying to embrace that it is very age appropriate while still trying to teach the meaning of sharing!!! We got a book today at the library to help that along...I will keep you posted on how that goes!!!
